How to remove Lexus Lx450 rear glass factory tint.

The rear glass had to have film applied after it cooled, because the defroster had to be applied to the inner surface. That's why it comes off easily. I can feel the film on my rear glass. My rear windows feel like glass on the inner surface, not film.

If the side glass had a coating applied while it was still hot, it won't come off. I want to say I remember seeing a glass factory tour where they were coating windshield glass (the upper strip) right after it came out of the mold, but I can't find it anywhere. And it was a glass factory, so no idea what manufacturer it was sold to.

Not that it helps anyone; I was just having a random thought experience...

For anyone looking for an alternative to the Eagle one, which appears to no longer contain Hydroflouric Acid. Whink Rust Stain Remover does the job very well. I picked up a bottle at walmart for under $6. Squirt some on a rag, rub till glass is clear, repeat for whole window. Clean with ammonia free glass cleaner when finished.

Video of how easy the tint comes off:

Unfortunately my glass has some swirls in it, which I had hoped were on the solar tint :(

Did you apply the product on the inside or outside of the glass? I suppose the inside?
Cheers
