How to remove center console 97 LX40

Ok...This is going to be pretty quick and dirty compared to the original that got wiped out by the MUD DB "refresh" the other day 
This is for all those one
s like me who tend to over think things, tend to break plastic doohickeys forcing stuff, etc 
How to remove the center (or rear as Mr. T calls it) console in a LX450:
Note: I had my PS seat removed (see last pics for reason) but I'm sure this can be done without doing so...I also completely removed the shift console...You don't have to but it just makes it easier IMO if you do

I was thinking...does he really want to remove the center console? I mean, the passenger seat is just 4 bolts and it is out. The post you reference already has the passenger seat out. Surely the ring can be located with the passenger seat removed...

Yeah. Much easier to remove the seat. Four bolts and wiring harness connectors.
Which side/seat and have you tried looking for it from behind or from the front of the seats?
Agree all above, remove the four ?14mm bolts holding the seat to the floor then just lift/move the seat a bit, should not have to remove it if
all you're doing is grabbing the ring.

Have you heard of magnet fishing?
That would depend on the material you're searching for.
Tru dat but usually the hook or pin is usually some kind of stainless and if the magnet is strong enough the dog will hunt.
