don't forget all the ones in the "cruiser graveyard".....is it greystoke colorado??

Mine's a solid, dependable DD with lots of life left. All stock. Rest of the body's in good shape so as long as I can find a good roof it will have many more years yet. Fingers crossed that will be happening this fall/winter.

I'll be putting another WTB for the roof up soon but will wait awhile as F4 beat me to it. It's a high order but what else would any loving parent do?

I have one............no others were sacrificed for it, that I am aware of.

I have seen 2 others that run and get driven. I saw one languishing in the Santa Cruz mountains and a buddy saw one for sale in Santa Cruz.

Okay my .02 Well the guy that sold me mine has a 74 in Tuscon. Mine in Victoria, TX Haven't seen another down here yet. I've seen Zulu's Zebra. One that I don't know anything about though when I used to live in Wichita Falls, TX I saw one parked in someone's driveway Blue/White thought never noticed that it ever moved. I wanted to go to the door and ask if he'd sell it but never had the funds to go to the door with cash. For all I know he/she is a member here.

So 4 that I know of.

I still wonder if my 76 is still in Georgia--red/white and had a little brush bar on front....sold it in LaGrange GA when I traded it....like a #%$^# fool!

i have one and saw one for sale on an online car yard here a few weeks back, so there is another 2

I have two that are roadworthy
two with solid frames and decent bodies, no drivetrains,
and four which are pretty gone, altho i've seen worse ressurected here,
sold a nice one two years ago locally
know of one in Vt, used yearly as plow rig
that would be 10 more, 6 roadables

2 years ago the East Coast Pig Run saw 12 55's. The original Pig Run on the left coast had 14 (if memory is correct).

I have 2 and know of 4 others in CT but 2 of those are not on the road.

the web opens things up,, i woulda swore before the internet i was one of 2 or 3 in the whole state, but there are at least 16 of us in AZ and ive seen pics of other AZ pigs. i'd guess a good 25-30 in this sate.

I have one, and am about to rescue another from a scrap yard, It has a cherry body on it, and the one I currently have is a rust bucket.

Because of the emissions game I have to play, I will probably end up putting the 78 body on the 69 chassis, so that it is titled as a 69.

I know of at least 2 others in Tucson that are running.

From Bolivia

Hey,
Count me in for one '76 w/ambulance doors :D I am up to 6 here in Cochabamba since I bought mine a year ago.
Ben:bounce:

I have/had 5 piggies

6/'69-temecula tim has it now
11/'71
9/'73
2/'75-parts only-rusty as s*** from Alaska-donated it roof and misc good interior parts for the 76.
5/'76

Seen 4-5 in the junkyards and pick and pull's over the years, all long gone now. Seen lots of others around here

I recently relocated away from the big city to bask in the small town life ie: peaceful.I figured that the pick and pulls in the area would be more likely to have cruiser parts whereas the wreckers in the city keep only the late model vehicles in demand.I checked a hundred mile radius and found zero cruisers of any series.I guess any Canadian 55 that may have gone to a wrecker is picked away or rusted into the earth.
Guess I'll have to expand my search.
No other Pigs on the road around here either so my rig is pretty popular when I'm out for a ride.

Guess I'll have to expand my search.

Steve, the only possible wrecker with '55 'Cruiser parts is Interior Auto Wreckers in Vernon, not that you'd want to buy from them anyways as they tend to be a little steep on prices.

I have a very dependable stock '79 that is quite rusty. I use it around my 10 acres for skidding logs and such, and in the winter when it snows I chain up all 4 studded tires and use it to get up and down my steep gravel road. Was my family's dd for many years and my 2 oldest kids got their licenses in it and drove it to high school. It's like the old family dog, 'cept that it's a pig. It's the one on the right in this 7 year old picture. The one on the left is a '78 that I eventually parted out and that 45 is still on the island...There are also 2 '74 pigs on the island. One dead, one alive.
2 55s.webp
