how hard is it to put a lift....

....in my 100? I am thinking about getting the OME 2inch lift and wondered if this is something i could put in myself.......and yes, i am somewhat mechanicaly inclined.....and challenged...

What is the benifit to go with OME heavies instead of OME regular? What is the benifit to put in the Diff drop that Slee sells??

The front and rear shocks along with the rear springs were a job...and would be a job if not for the upper rear shock mounts that are a total PITA! My OEM t-bars were so corroded in place I had to take my 100 in to a shop to have them removed and the OME installed...if your 100/LX has any corrosion whatsoever the t-bars are going to be a challenge without lots of repeated sessions of flame and PB. Oh yeah...be sure to PB (PB Blaster) all the bolts/nuts repeatedly (as usual anyway) several days in advance of installing your parts. Be sure to get a quality alignment done after your complete install.

Definitely go with the Slee Diff Drop kit...it will help keep the CV shaft angle closer to stock. Having said that, based upon most of us here, keep an eye on your CV boots for leakage post lift install and be ready to remove the offending band clamp and reclamp: Otherwise replacement of the CV axle will be necessary!

Don't know about the "heavies".

Mine was really simple to install. I dropped the truck off at OK4WD, went for a hike around Merrill Reservoir, had some lunch, took a nap, then returned at the end of the day and voila, it was installed.

I'd go with the OME T-Bars too to get the front end up.

No...you need to order them separately. IMO if you are going to run the stock bumper then you can probably get by OK with the stock t-bars.

Not to my knowledge. And I have not heard of anyone stateside cracking their lower A-arms...only the Aussies.

Damm aussies... ..We do have a problem with them here in aussie,infact there was a recall for them to check the weld length on the lower arm.ARB have a lower control arm reinforcing kit (FK27) which when i had the OME kit fitted to mine i had torsions replaced and while they were out i had kit fitted...

My biggest obstacle is space. Living in Manhattan doesn't allow me for any sort of area to wrench. Course I could just do it Brooklyn Style and do it on the street. However, I did manage to install my own sliders...
