How do I turn off the factory alarm in a '92?

Dumb question but does this eliminate remote lock/unlock?

I would think so...

I don't think the 80 series had remote unlock as a factory option. Only through the port/dealer installed alarm.

Thanx Jeff. Now I won't get to it until Saturday.

As for the remote start, yeah, it's all interconnected. Remove the alarm and you remove that feature. I'm cool with that if it makes it stop honking every time I get into it.

Updating for future searchers. I disconnected the horns and never got back to this until my son took the car over and got tired of it. The reason it's hard to find info on the forum is because it really is as easy as removing all non-OEM wiring. Best advice: Dig into it. Remove the seat, remove the interior panels: DS seatbelt cover, kick panel on left side, and the cowl under the steering wheel. Make it easy access and stop hurting yourself and making it tough to find the connections. With pics to refer to and removing all the stuff, give yourself an hour or two to make it happen.

Here's link to pictures we took of the connectors you might struggle with identifying.

Also, the alarm is tied to the factory stereo. If you or a previous owner removed the factory stereo without entering the alarm code using the stereo presets buttons it will behave this way the rest of the vehicle's life. If nobody ever setup the alarm by entering an alarm code to use the alarm, you won't get this behavior AFAIK. Because, you know...that factory radio/tape deck was all over the black market back in the day....
