Well I noticed that my coolant was low so I grabbed my jug and started topping it off. It took more than I expected but when it came to the top I realized that I was adding purple to my previous green antifreeze. Should I drain and flush it?

The purple one is ethylene glycol as the main ingredient and when I checked the coolant today it showed up green with no other residue.

Unless there is a compelling reason, I sure would hate to drain it. The price of coolant has gotten ridiculously expensive. I recently purchased 5 gallons of the Zerex prediluted red flavor and was shocked at the price.

That's why I am asking. The pure green when I popped the cap was encouraging

Why seek speculation? Go to the website of the OEM for the purple stuff and see if they claim it's compatible.
