I popped under the truck today to investigate a rattle and saw this. How bad / serious does it look?

It looks like you have (or had) a decent amount of moly grease in there. That is actually pretty good news.

The first thing I'd check is the axle vent on top of the driver's side. If it's plugged, the pressure will force grease past your knuckles.

It doesn't look like Birf Soup yet, but be sure to keep topping off your moly grease (fill plug on front of knuckle) often.

You have a worn knuckle seal at least. you can keep pumping grease in the top and wiping it off the back and give yourself a little more time, but meh, just get in there and fix it. My $.02.

Good idea to open it up and check things out regardless if you havent been in there in a while.

It looks fine, just zip tie the grease reservoir (square plug atop the knuckle) every so often to see how much is in there. Then you'll have greasy zip ties in case you ever need them.
