Good Morning, UC.

Checking in today from Low Country Land Cruisers and wondering if anyone has information on Horse Pasture Road; I can't find much online. Seems like it's a relatively easy ride through the woods with some nice views.

ETA: Advice/info on Musterground Mountain road would be helpful too.

Any information you all can share is much appreciated.

Muster ground is more fun. Steep hill climbs. Will actually need 4wd. It is all graded however. I wouldn't come all the way up here just to ride them but it is nice to get in the woods non the less.

@the gimpey one

Thanks for the intel. I've potentially got a weekend in late April to get out of town and was thinking I might head towards the upstate to ride around and camp with the dog. Horse Pasture and Jumping Off Rock popped up as areas that might be worthwhile.

If you don't have a copy, I really like this book for waterfall hunting in WNC:

Depends on what you are after. Horsepasture Rd is easy for a cruiser but you don't need to worry about pinstriping or trail damage. Several good spots to stop and look out to the NC mountains. Jumping Off rock is a cool spot to view. Do a google search for dates when the roads are open. Last I checked the direct road to Jumping Off Rock is open year round but they close a lot of the side roads for wildlife mating season IIRC.
Post up when you decide on a date, maybe you'll draw a crowd of cruiserheads.

I was out there a few weeks ago. Took the stock 470 down it with no issues. Very easy trail. If you really want to do some exploring look on the northern georgia side of the Chattooga River. Lots of trails out there.

How much further up the road? I'm in Charleston so i don't want to spend too much time getting to where I'm going. Trail difficulty isn't my main priority - I'm just looking to explore some new places and spend some time off pavement. Now if I get to use 4Lo I won't complain :)

Le us know when your going if you want company. If I'm off I would be interested in going.

How do you get there? I've been looking for a decent trail that not to bumpy for my wife to go with me. Her health conditions make it hard for her to ride long stretches on rough roads but she would love the views and nature.

Hwy 130 off hwy eleven. Then right onto bad creek rd. You literally go into bad creek project. I think muster grounds is first left once inside the park but it has a sign.

Google bad creek project of directions from seneca.

Appreciate it and sorry for hijacking the post but anything else around Seneca?

Not the way I meant it. I know you don't need to come all the way to pickens to get there that's all. If you go give me a heads up. Might tag along.
