Absolutely! That is great you can move your travel trailer at all. Looks like twice the size of your 80.
Yep 24ft with a dry weight of 3700lbs. You pay more for an Ultra lite than the equivalent to this size that weighs more. If I owned a Tundra when I bought the trailer I could have went bigger and heavier and saved some money. oh well:flipoff2:

Thanks for the under sided picks! Do you note the difference now?

How bad is it towing? My parents gave me a 23ft Tahoe Lite they never used. I was debating on buying a tow rig. I know the 80 will struggle up hills with it. Did you tow it to SnT?

Does anyone know the Pontiac part number? I can't find these in eBay so I
Might just order from the dealership.

GM PN 10225886 for RH and 10225885 for LH... BUT they are discontinued. You will not have any luck at a GM dealer.
Your best bet is to flag Ebay to let you know when a set comes up for auction or worse yet, "rob me now".
The folks who hoard these are on to us. They set a high reserve or a high (roughly $75 to $85) buy it now line.
That and the J**p crowd is using them too.
I snagged a pair a few weeks ago and am not proud to say that I paid too much.
Other mods first though. This is a spring time project for me.

Yep, thanks! I eyeball other possible vents on there, but am not that daring to try them.

Am wondering if anyone has had success with other vents? I saw a previous thread on side vents from a 50 (?) series but they didn't seem as efficient as these (on the hood) and were also more conspicuous.

Towed it to SNT but not on the dunes camped @ Pismo north campgrounds, also I have just towed it up HI WAY 1 to BIG SUR.

Holy bejesus delayed response!

What? Four years is not that long!

He's been doing some long term extensive testing!

I've been looking at these, they are a nice low profile.

I installed some this last summer. I used a set of RunCool. only because I won them in a raffle. I put them on mainly for looks. I don't tow anything. Although I do like to think they helped out last time I was on the trails in the hot ass summer in low range with the A/C on and my Aux fan running. my temp was in the 180-190 range all day. :) I think I have pics in my bild thread.

I can testify to this claim. I was right behind him in a similarly loaded 80 with all new AC and all new cooling system and 1 year old HG. During a long, low range uphill climb my AC shut off (226f) and his did not.
I think the run cool vents look sporty so they are on my list and the auxiliary fan is on the shelf waiting to go in.
I don't think FJ40 hoods were vented by Toyota Just for looks.

Yeah sorry about the delay, but you could say some extensive testing has proved that this mod is worth it. Trips up and down the coast and all the way out to Death Valley with trailer in Tow... I highly recommend this mod not just for looks but for function as well.
