Guys,

Take lots pics.

Navid,

Stay out of the tank traps.

Alvaro

With the rain, watch out for Drexx Lake, which is a Land Cruiser killer. Be safe, and enjoy the mud.

yeah, its going to be an interesting one, Hollister mud is slippery when raining. Almost slid of a cliff a few years ago. Its raining pretty hard here right now in the Bay area so get ready for slipping and sliding. Alvaro I cant promise anything, last time you guys had to use two winches to get me out, it was fun:) But seriously I won't be wheeling hard since I love my fj40 and would like to use it for a few more years:cheers:

Navid in those tank traps was one of the most amazing stucks ever. Very funny to see all 4 wheels in the air at the same time. Even funnier was a toasted Micky Rubicon thinking he was going to get Navid out. That guy with the FJ40 saved your truck that day, Navid. There is a lot of water under the bridge since then! No pun intended.:D

it was pretty crazy, The slee skid did its job that day, never got a chance to thank the guy in the 40 but yes he did come through like a true crusier head, it was funny when Mickey came up to me and offered me some hungarian wine while I was sitting in the truck stuck. Dam that was a crazy day, same day that Drexx went swimming:)

Trail report

Well, it rained most of Friday night and then on & off Saturday. Friday afternoon was great with the clouds rolling in and no rain. Friday night was quiet in the campground with only three of there.

After breakfast we headed out and met up with another 4Runner from YotaTech and then played in the mud. Hollister mud is slick, we were sliding all over. The steep trails had a little pucker factor when your 100 won't stop, but it was fun. I guess I drove right by Ting, sorry there dude, but there were Toyotas everywhere and I kept asking if any were in the group and all said "what group?"

It was a bit crazy with all the mud but very fun. Only three people showed up, Robert, Silver-scout, and myself. We saw Ting at the Ranger station when we paid the park fees. He had to leave, didn't even come to the park:( Robert and I hooked up with silver-scout at the meeting point, the obstacle course. We also met a cool guy in a full size Chevy who joined us for the rest of the day. We played a bit in the mud and then went to the whoop de doop section where we all ran the trail flexing, after that we hit a trail going to the top section of Holster hills. On the way down we spotted a group of Range Rovers getting trained in offroading by an Instructor. Weird seeing an eighty thousand dollar vehicle offroading:) I guess if you have it use it. We also hooked up with another 80 series and a Tacoma at the end of the day. anyway a fun day, the strap was used once to pull my 40 up a steep trail but that was it. My own fault taking the same lines as the locked 80's, good to meet you silver hope we go wheeling again. Here are some pics.

no worries Ting, family is always first. Definitely invest in some Mud terrains so you can enjoy your vehicle more. Silverscout was running BFG all terrains and aired down they handled surprisingly well in mud.
