Hey All,

Looking for suggestions in regards to best multi-purpose leaf springs for my 1989 HJ61. I'd like something a little more progressive but able to handle heavy load as well.
Any advice/lessons learned would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I just did an OME on my 61, I went heavy front an medium rear. I do not have any heavy bumpers or a winch. I do have the stink bug and will be putting an add-a-leaf on this weekend. Front sits about 1" to 1-1/2" lower than the rear with just the heavy springs.

I have 285/75-16s and the fronts rubbed when I was off road. Had about 200 lbs plus full tank and spare in the rear, medium springs seemed fine.

From my experience..the more leafs you have, the more it can take the heavy load. But on the downside, it will feel more of a hard ride. Springs too have different grades so best first decide what sort of load you will be carrying
