@duncanrm , the engine is running smoothly, with no blowby or oil consumption so far! However, there are a couple of cosmetic issues that bother me: the repaired oil cooler cover isn't up to my standards, and I wish I could find a new one to replace it. Additionally, the injector lines have surface rust, which looks unsightly. But, on the positive side, there are no oil or fuel leaks at this point! So, I'm pleased with its performance

Very cool indeed! Especially the lack of blowby and oil consumption. If the cooling system is in great shape and maintenance is diligent it bodes well for many 100s of 1000s of kilometres of life left in that engine.

Elbow grease goes a LONG way with injector lines, sanding, then scotchbrite, then polish, then some kind of protection (preferably not paint).. just a water repellant regularly applied.. they can look great! Other people get them anodized, maybe I'll do that on my next 2H.. in the meantime, the below is just elbow grease.

Oil cooler covers are readily available second hand in Australia if you're willing to ship.. there is aftermarket ones here but they are a bit crappy to be honest (Kilkenny Castings)..

Just be aware that there's two different covers.. you can see the difference here: Oil Cooler Covers - https://photos.app.goo.gl/4AT8uFRUi21EX6FD7
