All the oil and old 90 weight from the axles, transfer case and transmission are going up in smoke.

Got it fired up today and the idle was at 3000 rpm. Total s*** show until I remembered Powder Keg forgot the PCV plug in the intake so it was pulling a 1" hole of vacuum.

Well at least I know it runs. Oil pressure is great. Temp gauge is working.

I'll pick that piece up tomorrow. Should be good to go.

Got thr last parts in from PowderKeg. Once all of the proper plugs were in place the idle landed in the right spot. It's a good place to leave it for a few days while I hit the road to deliver one and pick up another.

Engine bay looks awesome. Much better than before.

Can the pink wire from the sniper run to the coil wire since the coil is no longer used? Should be a switched 12v, right?
You can. I usually use that wire for the DUI signal.

The carburator switch 12 is a good signal for the pink wire. Or tap the back of the fuse box.

Back from being gone most of the week dropping off one in Pennsylvania and picking one up in North Carolina.

Spent the morning getting the Duramax serviced and catching up.

Got back and messed with the timing then fired this guy up and made a first drive.

Brakes are great. Suspension is great. Steering is great.

I'm getting a little hickup on hard acceleration I need to sort out but so far so good

Another busy day getting undone from vacation and prepping Berkley for her move to Minnesota

Took her car for service then I cleaned it up good and gave it a heavy dose of Fluid Film for its upcoming life in the tundra

After that they made me cut some wood for a piece of furniture and I got stung by wasps.

Finally got some time on the 40 and knocked out the 4Plus rear tire carrier

Got all the turnbuckles installed in the soft top and some new footman loops on the tailgate.

Solid top. Looks great.

Went on a nice test drive.

It runs good. Has a little pop and backfire and hesitation during wide open throttle runs.

I suspected fuel delivery seeing this tank sat up forever and I was correct.

Hopefully this is just what was sitting in the bottom of the tank.

I put a new filter on and will drive it some more.

If it fills up another filter I'll have to pull the tank.

Hopefully the former is the case.

I ordered a tank. Gonna be on the road a few days so it will be here when I return. Better safe than sorry.

The brake switch was bad.

This is a s*** job when everything goes right.

When the body twists off and leaves the shank in the structure then life gets really fun
