The HF1A comes in two variants - manual shift and motor shift type. Which version are you working on?
I have manual shift with hand lever on the right side from gearbox shift lever. My car is LHD.

Have you got the rest of the manual?

Manual shows snap rings holding shift fork no.2 into the rail
And a pin holding shift fork no.1 onto the rail.

You have circled no. 2 on the parts diagram?

Manual with both versions of HF1A info is available here FSM - FJ80/HZJ80/HDJ80 Chassis Manual - https://forum.ih8mud.com/resources/fj80-hzj80-hdj80-chassis-manual.15/
I’m afraid you mean about other part than I ask.

I mean about pin between two rails. Not this one which keep fork and the rail.

I mark it on the diagram.

I also has this manual - the newest one. And also there is no info about this part.

I can't see what the purpose of a loose pin that location would be?
The position lock detent ball and spring for both shift rails are separate to that pin.

Without more info, I'd be tempted to assemble it without the pin, and cycle the shifters, rotate the gears etc at the same time and see if everything is in order

I've had manual trans apart a couple of times, but not a transfer case.

Maybe @orangefj45 or @cruiseroutfit or @OGBeno or @SNLC can help shed some light
