Help with O2 Sensor wiring

Sorry for the thread hijack. But, I've got the same problem as the OP except I'm working on my 91 with the 3FE. CEL has been on as long as I've had it for the number 2 O2 sensor. Upon inspection, it looks as though the plastic connector was busted off at some point. And the wires were just hanging there. Can't seem to find anything that can tell me what truck side wires connect to which on the sensor side.

Can you take some pics maybe we can help? Like I said mine goes over the transmission.. I thought it seemed obvious that it should go up the pass side along with the other O2 sensor but this was not the case. I found the wires on the driver side going up over the trans.. May check there.

Sure. This is what I've got at the moment. I extended the wires so they would at least reach the o2 sensor (which I'm sure is the wrong one). My harness also seems to come to from the passenger side firewall and over the transmission.

OK so you are needing to know what wires from the truck harness go to the O2 sensor then? I can tell you what mine looks like I can't guarantee that will be the same as yours. I think it also depends on what kind of O2 sensor you have as well.. As I think some of the aftermarket ones have different color coded wires..

You are correct. I think most universal 4-wire sensors have two black wires, a white and a blue wire, which is what I have. You running a 3FE as well? I'm not sure if the harness color-codes are different between the 91-92 and 93-97.

I'll take some pics and notes later tonight when I am working on it for ya and post back here.

OK so after re wiring mine tonight I took some notes for ya..
White to blue
Orange to white
Yellow to red\brown
black and yellow to grey

That's truck harness to O2 sensor wire colors..
Hope this helps!

Awesome. I appreciate it. I'll l let you know how it goes.

It seems that our color codes are different. I've got brown, yellow w/ red, white and orange on my truck side and two blacks, a white and a blue on my sensor side.

Also, looks like the sensor itself is bad. I'm not even getting a resistance between the two heater wires. Now I've got to figure out how to replace the sensors with the whole flange being nothing but rusty messes...

Ughh I am afraid I may be crossing the same bridge soon as well.. Good luck!
