Help uninstalling speed sensor (1 Viewer)

hi All

I have error code on RR speed sensor and bought replacement for it. Removed the mounting bolt with no problem. But have now fought with it for last hour and cant get the sensor itself out. It doesnt budge when i insert screw driver wedge under it. Soaked the thing with penatrating spray - all to no avail. Do you guys have any tips to get it out? I'm hesitant to put too much force in fear of it braking and bits of the sensor falling into the axle there. Is there risk of that? Also since the sensor is plastic cant see how flaming it will help?

If I remember correctly the rears have o-rings so it shouldnt be held in by too much rust. I'd try twisting rather than pulling to free it up. Once you can twist it then it would probably be safe to pry a little while twisting to free the o-ring then it should come out.

^that's how I was able to get one on my 80 to break free was by first twisting it in place and then wiggling it upwards.
