Help finding Transmission output shaft seal! (1 Viewer)

Hey all,
I have a blown transmission output shaft seal. I am pushing ATF into my transfer case and need to replace the seal. Should be a $20-$30 part but I can only find complete rebuild kits.

Any leads or tips would be greatly appreciated.

They only sell the kit which includes all seals for the tranny and is $300. The single seal should be about $10. I think TLC is gonna help me out

Which would be the correct part for all 62's and retrofits into 60 split cases too.

Negative, it's the seal coming out of the tranny, not the input for the transfer case. TLC hooked it up....$11

You're going to have to disassemble the entire transfer case to get to the seal. It's really as waste not to do the rebuild unless you've got some time capsule or a recent rebuild.

The seal part # above is the upgraded seal. Hope that's the part # you got.
