Hello all, for the past couple weeks I’ve been experiencing this creaking noise up front.
Most noticeable when turning steering wheel back and forth while not moving but a similar noise occurs when hitting a bump at low speed.
I inspected all bushings and sprayed some wd40 to see if anything changed and nothing. Only thing that looks questionable is my front right sway bar link which I ordered a new one (I don’t see how the noise could be the sway bar anyways)

Recently replaced, steering rack and lines, power steering pump.

Any help would be appreciated.

See attached video link

Luckily the noise is consistent so you can narrow it down quickly....The barn door creak when turning wheel, 9 out of 10 in my experience, lower ball joint.

On most cars I would poke a small hole into the rubber boot and use a needle attachment to pump grease in. Temporary solution to help diagnose.... On the cruiser I didn't want to be as invasive and just ended up replacing it because it had play in it...

Lot of my old cars over the years have had the barn door creak and is almost always ball joint.....Stick with silicone lube when diagnosing not WD40 since you are spraying down rubber and petroleum based sprays aren't ideal...

You can soak control arm bushings and surrounding area and try again. If noise is still there my money is on lower ball joint.

you could also have someone else turn the wheel while you carefully get down below and just put your hand on parts. Touch the shock and control arm and other bits, don't get your fingers pinched but you will probably feel the vibration coming from somewhere since the noise is pretty loud. I've had shock bushing make that noise as well but its more heard when bouncing the truck not just turning the wheel

Almost definitely not sway bar link/bushing but since you are swapping that out anyways you will find out soon

I agree^^. Does sound like one of the ball joints: LWR, Upper or TRE. Stethoscope on one at a time, can help isolate. Standard LWR ball joint inspection seen in below vid's.
