So here's the deal....

So the HOA has taken up a crusade against my :pig:... does not like its looks. (They have no taste) I have a meeting with the Board (The Man) next week. The covenants state able to move under its own power, licensed and insured... 2 out of 3 aint bad, but I am no mechanic. I can fix a power plant's control system, but not tune a carb...

I don't care if we have to :hillbilly: it just to get through this...

Anyone able/willing to come up and lend a hand? '68 with a 1.5F I think... (oil filter on passenger side)
I'm a bit screwed...

I'm in Colorado, north of Budweiser, just off I-25...

Yes I am up in Wellington.

No, it isn't really mobile... will idle if I sip fuel into the carb... but not really run on its own...:frown:

And I can load you up with Mtn Dew or Rootbeer or AquaFina.... :D

Tell me about it. I would never, and have never lived in an area that had HOA's and their rules. All my junk is old and has character! :)

in a word "Yes"

So I go to put the spare tire on it (this was a special anytime tire as it was splitting all the way around the sidewall) and I had another tire go flat with the weight shift :bang:. I wound up putting 4 used tires on it (Thanks to the smoking deal from Big Deal Tire & Wheel in Ft. Collins)
I got it to idle really good over the weekend :wrench: but it would not accelerate at all. I advanced the timing a little and it started running better. I was able to rev it with the choke off now (after ~20*) this was a redneck tune so it was all by ear (no ping or knock at any rpm) I went to rebuild the front brake as I thought it was pouring fluid, turned out it was from the axel, not the brakes. I bled them a bunch and the fronts work. :bounce:

So I took it around the block last night and parked it in the street. I get a call at 5:00 pm and one of the HOA's moles had seen it and deemed it in compliance! The dogs had been called off. All is right in this little Piggy's world. :steer:

I have so much work I want to do to it. I am thinking since the brakes really need a work over why not update with discs! I'll get al the pieces and try to complete it over a long weekend. Maybe take it to a real mechanic and have them tune it right too...

I can tune a jet engine with multiple fuel manifolds, but I don't know nothin' 'bout tunin' Piggys.... I have never used a timing light. Do they read out RPM? I do not have a tach...

:D I work on modified jet engines stuffed into a box to either make power or drive a compressor... I mostly work with the software and instrumentation.

I will be there tonight!
