Wanted to post a couple of photos for those interested in the OME 861/862 level stance springs. My '93 LC is running 265/75s with 30mm MAF spacers and stock springs. My brother's (MidMO450) '96 LX is sporting 285/75s, 30mm MAF spacers and 861s/862s. As you can see, his 285s and new springs really gave him some height relative to mine. He is probably flirting with some caster issues but it still drives nicely on the highway. He took it on a 500 mile camping trip the day after these photos to southeast Missouri and it handled well. Just thought I would post these to help somebody pondering the 861/862 combo. Looking at the side mirrors really illustrates the difference. The third photo is before his new springs and we're still close in height. Only photo I could find. Muddy day at Fulton, Missouri's Off-Road park. The local car wash made good money on us that day. :p

I also have 285's and the OME stock height replacement kit and its noticeably higher than stock when I got the truck with 265's and tired stock springs. Drives great on the highway and everywhere else except maybe uneven highway lane changes, but hey its a truck with a high center of gravity :p

Post up some after shots if you can. We'd like to see them. Hopefully, you have better luck with NOT snapping bolts than we did. His LX is out of Arizona and we snapped two rear sway bar bolts! I snapped one shock mount bolt on my '93 when I threw my spacers in but it's lived in Missouri almost its entire life. Par for the course. :p

I'm posting again just to get my post count off of 666. Carry on!

Great comparison shots, even better than the typical before/after IMO. Thanks!

I like the ride and the height. It's nearly 4" higher than when I bought it with stock 275/70's and worn out springs. As one other posted, it runs nice on the highway, but does like to run side to side on uneven country roads. I also attribute the mild wandering to a higher of gravity, E rated 285's, and a relatively short wheelbase. I do have to watch out now as I have only a couple of inches of clearance into my 7 ft garage door... no cargo rack for me.

Is this going to be a self install? If so I want in on it.
