Alarm kicking around anywhere?
A common practice is to tie all the zones together so the alarms read a single open signal to trigger an alarm.
Headlights really, or the runner lights on both in front & rear?
If the runners, alarms can vary but some use the runners blinking to show arm/disarm.
Any old alarm box nowdays is going to need an evil eye - they are the most worked electronic cycle in a vehicle, so all are getting very geriatric.

Wire bundle between the hatch and the body is likely chafed and broken or grounding. Pull it open and examine. I had one or two wires that I had to resolder and retape. Everytime the hatch is opened, the wire bundle flexes and eventually the wires start to break.
