HDJ81 (& JDM 80) Key Cutting

Does anyone have a lead on a mud member who cuts 80 series keys based on the international 12-digit frame No. / VIN?

I am looking to get a couple extra spares cut from the OEM Toyota blanks. I have yet to visit the local dealership, but I expect to get the usual blank stare for bringing in one of my diesel trucks.

I doubt its possible to get anything off the frame number anymore. If you take the right side door lock cyl out there might be a key code that your Lexus dealer can use to cut the code. just tell them you have a lx450. Or if you have a good condition original key they can just copy it for you.

When I needed a new key for my worn imported HDJ80 - I used this guy. He’s a member here.

I've bought a few things from toyota Matt. I don't think he's a member anymore. And, not going to deal with him again. Learned my lesson the first time.

i needed keys for my hdj81 and there are more than a few places on ebay that will cut keys off an image. I got the lead to them from here, with a ton of guys happy.

Update: dealer will not cut keys without a key code. Ordered from the aforementioned eBay seller.
