Has anyone relocated their battery to somewhere else in the engine bay?

No, not a second battery - and not just moving the primary to the typical secondary spot - but actually located the primary battery somewhere else in the engine bay? Just wondering what people came up with. My tire looks like it might get into that area when stuffed and turned

Probably not much room to move it on the driver side (on a 95) unless you went with a smaller battery and built a bracket for it. The passenger area near the firewall has a lot of space but I'm not entirely sure how much fender you are planning to cut.

An option would be to move it in between your frame rails and sliders. This would keep the distance to your starter short and still keep the battery out of the way.

Do you care about second row of seats or a battery fire? In the rear footwell might not be bad, keeps the weight low and centered.

I need to store cargo in the rear, but I sort of like the idea of cutting out the rear formerly-known-as-a-spare-tire-area and nestling it there. Seems like it might work well - what do you guys think?
