Harness adaption for 86non to 93 EFI?

I am asking this for my Dad who is trying to install fuel injection along with head from a '93 (I believe) truck to an '86 22r motor.

Is there some sort of adapter harness out there for this? I guess the EFI computer still has all the wiring and plugs on it.

you use the existing efi harness. connect a few wires from your ignition to it, and add a few to the ecu.
its really easy.

Yes, there is. You have two choices. If you use the factory harness you will need to get the engine harness and the cowl harness from the same vehicle. All of the elements on the engine harness plug into the ECU. But, there are elements on the cowl harness that run to EFI bits and connect to the ECU. It can be done, I did it with a 3FE. It's just a hell of a lot of work.

That said, I think there is a company that sells a turn key harness. Bad news is the vender section here at MUD is down and I can't look them up. Hopefully it will be up soon and I can get you the company name. Expect to pay about $600 for the harness.
