Did my own install on a 2021 LC. Went fine, works well. It took me a little over an hour because I have never done something like this and I was being very careful. Even after watching a couple videos multiple times I used one while going step by step through the process. The only thing I would have done differently is get a trim removal tool. (Ends up my neighbor has one!) I also should have done a better job remembering where each screw went and which type they were. Not that much different. All 10mm. But some are longer than others. When I “finished” I had one left over. Doh! Had to go through the video again and figure out where it went. Oh, and I followed a recommendation from Hamilton. Before putting the trim back I started up the car, connected my phone and test out the connection and some apps. Everything worked great but it gave me peace of mind. Now mine is a Land Cruiser and the audio is not that important to me. I mainly use for map/gps apps like Google Maps, Waze, Gaia and Trails Off-road. The OEM screen isn’t awesome but it works. And it is nice in Google Maps (for example) to be in that mode where the map (with Speed Limit and your estimated speed) is on the left side of the screen and on the right side is your next turn and below that is whatever media you are playing. It also works to swipe right until the CarPlay widgets show up.

If you do go off-road I will add that after the install I did some dirt roads with lots of shaking, etc. I did not “fixed mount” with the Hamilton unit but place it securely in the mass of cables and wires that share that space behind the screen. (This was Hamilton’s recommendation.) all of the jostling from the off-road driving didn’t affect it at all.

I installed one in my 09 (which has the 08 radio model) and I think you would be fine. I removed it since I run GrapeheneOS and a bunch of privacy-oriented FOSS apps that didn't play well with Android Auto.

Anyone tried fitting this on a non US 200 with the 360 cameras that come on at low speeds etc?

The US version has the 360 cameras that come on at low speed too. The vast majority of people disable that feature for obvious reasons.

Has anyone heard of an update for the 2011? Mine still works but having it work perfectly would be a bonus.

So I technically could install the current version into my truck, but I could experience issues? What are the issues you experienced?
No because the system I have is from an LS I believe (but not positive). The 08-09 are completely different connections than other LXs. I don't think they will sell you something until they have it working correctly.

They sold me one for my 2011 LX. It works very well but there are some annoyances. Would love to get updated firmware at some point.

I just called Hamilton and they said that they are working on a kit for the 08 LX but they couldn't give me a date on it being ready. They have a test vehicle and are actively working on it.

Eagerly waiting for them to (re) release the premium conversion kit they offer for the 16-21 LXs. Something a little larger, with more processing power and has the factory climate system control integrated would really make the car feel more modern

Are there any indications they might do so? I was gonna get the premium one with the touchscreen this year..

There's a video from September where they install a full replacement prototype. Not sure when it actually comes out.
