New trail with no name as yet. It's gonna be good with both easy and hard lines through the harder parts. Kinda reminds me of Shaffners years ago. Bottom part it too tight and lots of off camber to weave through the trees. I think some more need to come out. I was totally playing on some big rocks on the edge of the trail (very optional) when I got hung up. FUN

BJ plans to cut anymore trails ?
I thought Superlift didn't have anymore land to make more trails

There are sooo many more trail opportunities on the existing 1200 acres. BJ is all about improving the park and cutting new trails is a part of that. Two new trails were cut this spring that promise to be good once they get some more traffic. A 2-3 rated trail across the road and this 4-5 rated trail we ran this weekend. I know this is a bad year to suggest it but I would love to schedule a Cottonland work weekend and cut our own trail at the park. There are still some great ravines to explore...

Yeah We were kicking around a work weekend at catahoula rec near Sicily island as well, seems like the jeep guys have taken off with that one. Hopefully we can do both in the near future.

Bossman since our trip up there the other month, I have been talking to some in our group about a work weekend up there before or after the Crawl. No wheeling just chain saws by day and beer at night.

I know there is a great ravine next to Quicksand that would make a much easier climb up that back ridge. I talked to BJ back when Jim was alive to cut that one but I never followed up.

I am game for a trip up to cut trails. I would say there are at least as many places not yet cut to double the trail network up there.

Catahoula is OK, but I would rather see our group put in the effort for Superlift. Much more likely to bet there when we want it that that other place.

I'm game for either park. Superlift is "good" now but could always be better. Sicily Island needs work to be worth going back IMHO. Don't get me wrong, I'd go with you guys any time but it wouldn't be because I wanted to wheel the park...

For Superlift, if you guys want to put something together for this fall I'll talk to BJ and work it out. I can see what I can do about getting the campig fees waived, etc for those who come up to actually work and not just wheel. I'd like to see your idea back by Quicksand Nolen. Another way out of that area without having to go all the way around Rubicon Ridge would be awesome. It woould be great to have a 4ish trail in that area if possible.

It would be cool if we could name a trail something like, "Bossman highway."

How bout Bossman's Cotton? Oh wait...

"They Raping Everyboby Up In Here" - prolly wouldn't get too much use....
