GX470 LOCKERS!!

They sell that housing but then you have to start stuffing it with gears and lockers on top of the housing cost, lets not forget powder coat and shipping. Either way, no matter what you do, theres going to be some dollars dumped. Locker, beefed up gear set, and install/setup is where some ones gonna spend. Probably worth it to get the weak part out of there though.
 
I've read some things about those front range guys, they're behind and take a long time, dont return calls, on and on.. I have no idea if any of it is true Red. Their stuff looks nice though and priced right. I was reading a bit and one guy was giving evidence the pinion flex is what takes out the ring gear. And with the 8.2 you have a beefier pinion so no flex, interesting to me because I've always equated strength to ring gear size but, the guy contends pinion size is equally or more important. It's in that one link I put up there for the 4 runner forum.
i put a diamond from Front range in mine back in nov. i ordered it sept 3. the website said 6-8 week lead time. turned into 10. the only way i got a hold of them during that time was through instagram. they then reached out to me either on IG or even an email. They suck to get ahold of but their product is pretty dang good.

i only got the housing. i wanted the harrop/eaton locker and as far as i know, only do ARB lockers. atleast based on their website and like mentioned, getting ahold of them is a chore. i got the rear from ebay and mailed it to ECGS and had them put the 4.56 gears and locker in for me
 
I have a 2005 GX 470 with a rear ARB locker and it’s been re-geared from 3.77 to 4.56 with nitro gears. I got into a wreck and I’m doing my best to part it out. Please contact me if anybody would like to figure out buying the drivetrain or motor or anything. They want to value off the rig.
