I got some feedback that "exclusive" events like this are generally harder to pull off. This is just a probe of the people out there to see if there is interest. I think it would be fun and let people know there are other options out there (and people like SouthernSS have started to make stuff for GXs). More is better in aftermarket, but we need to build a base to make people want to make stuff for us. Anyway, just my rambling on an idea. If it flies, we enjoy, if it changes, we enjoy. Time will tell...but "enjoy" is the key.

Exactly. I Ws thinking it was more about getting the GX on the radar for more support. GX outnumber TLC 2:1 from 2002 to present, there will be more! I know of at least 15 now that are capable. Moab or Katemcy would be cool! Would need a mall or Starbucks photo shoot though 
Why not make it a 120 platform summit? You might be able to bolster your numbers a bit that way. Since the T4R seems to be getting more popular along with the GX. You could get some more exposure on the 4Runner forums as well.
(And this is in no way an attempt to get my wife to let me mod/bring her truck.

Another location to consider is Hot Springs...IMO, it's a better central location and has a great trail variety. (plus a heck of a party...after all, events ARE 90% social!)
As Dan and I have discussed, do NOT fall into the trap that Toyota set with the FJ Cruiser...their initial marketing, in my opinion, alienated the balance of the Toyota/Lexus owners. (year 3 got it right with the Toyota Trail Teams, but it was too little too late)

Never been to hot springs. I have always wanted to go to both K2 and Hot Springs (and now back to Moab).
I have no clue on timing as it isn't "official" yet and my year is looking to be quite nasty this year.
That said, I don't have a problem with someone running with the idea or I will pick it up and run next year (for 2015).

Sounds like a plan. My 13 is def booked and my 14 already has some stuff piling up on it. I know I'm out for May, June, and November for the foreseeable future. With enough time to plan I'm sure I could work something out.
Woody is Hot Springs where Superlift is? I've heard a lot of good things about that place.

Yep. Sometime in the next year or two I'm going to plan a trip to the Crawl. Looks like a blast.
