GSMTER was a great time.
Cool trails, well worth the drive to NC, but man is it a long dusty drive to the trail head, makes you miss Gray Rock.
Bodean ( our social butterfly) introduced Debbie and I to a bunch of great people. We even got to kiss the ring of the infamous KOWBOY, of course it cost me $20.00 for a WT bennie. Jeff was a great spotter and coach on the trail. I came away with no real damage to truck or ego.
Doc Troutman and Nick Stone of Lone Star and White Trash fame were great neighbors and Doc wheeled his 55 in 2wd one day.
Doc is the man! They were great to follow on the trails after Bodean left. We became fast friends.
We also met one of Bodean's Cruiser buddies from New Jersey. Jersey J is crazy and it was worth the drive just to laugh at him. He has a great looking 80 with Hanna Quality sliders and tire swing.
Clutchee was always around and being the big help he always has been. Glad to see the 60 out on some trails. He spotted me though some stuff, helped me load my 40 back on the trailer, cooked me breakfast one morning, and introduced Debbie and I to some good people. He got him a nice pop up camper.
DRay was up from Jacksonville. Much more sober and calm than Gray Rock. He didn't ask for Debbie's hand in marriage this trip and didn't drink my beer. He is getting real excited about his 40 and hopes to have it at the Cruiser Crawl.
Saw some incredible looking Cruisers and saw a bunch of people determined to tear them up.
My 40 did great except when the carb float stuck 15 minutes into the first day of riding. I just knew I was screwed. Thanks Rob for "wacking" the carb and getting me on my way. The Orion and ARB's made me look good. The driver was uncertain but the 40 did its job.
Den Mother Deb was great. I feel very lucky to have a wife that enjoys this stuff as much as me.
Here is a link to all our pics.
See yall @ Razorback!!!
