oh and they are easy to break into with a screwdriver...

roddQLD, look into the aussie made Haultec CV's, cheaper than getting longfields in, and have a great success rate

Yeah, I've considered swapping mine Sities Guy., but up here in summer it gets pretty hot, and with the dog, or the car parked in the shade with the windows open...
I think I'll keep mine, but I've never had a leak through mine.

Thanks Bad_Rel.. I'll check them out. Who carries them?

Isn't it funny, I am amazed that you guys like these windows so much. Personally I reckon they are a PITA. I have never opened mine, and they leak when I wash the car. Might have to swap someone a set of non opening windows!

That's terrible! I'm so sorry to hear that! Why don't you let me help you out? Send me your address and I send you mine, and I'll send you a primo set of non opening windows, and you send me your major PITA sliders. ok? Hell, I'll even pay your side of the shipping costs since I feel so bad for you!

Hey Steve any news on the status of the windows? I've been out of contact with my folks lately so I have no idea if any (other) Man-A-Fre boxes have come yet.

My Add-A-Leafs arrived though and I think the other box of stuff I ordered may have gotten there. If not I gotta send Garie an email :D

Spook... look at page 4 of this thread for posts from me and from Steve. Probably around 45 days until the container gets to California.

on the inside edge(of the window) I think you can finish it with the same moulding tha is on the inside of the side doors(where the doors close on), it just presses on.

what Gary had in his windows was prolly the OEM barrier thingy, basicly just a bar than runs horizontal across the window to keep stuff or people from falling out. SOR had some a while back, nothing more than a round bar with the ends flatend with a hole to bolt em up.

I have a set of the sliders from MAF(had em for 2 years) someday I will finish them.....then maybe install em ;)

Update

Ok Ok, time for an update I suppose. I just got back today from vacation in Hawaii, sorry no one heard from me while I was gone having the time of my life. :flipoff2:

We managed to find 30 sets of windows in Australia, they should be leaving the docks today or tomarrow actually. We anticipate 30 (roughly) days to see them here. Sorry we are behind on this, unfortunately I did not expect so many people to join the buy, niether did the Aussies. We will be paying more for each set than anticipated, but everyones price will stay the same.

We have about 25 or so orders in the group buy, I know for a fact that all of the windows will not be usable, I wont know the exact condition until they get here. When they arrive I will let eveyone know, then go through them to see if we have any extra decent sets.

Here is a graph, estimating the condition of the windows.

SteveO...Castration! Double castration!

Weasel -
Maybe we could get a bunch done together. I have a powdercoater that picks up at my shop (when I call him in advance) on Thursdays & usually gets it back the next Thursday. Seems like the greater the quantity, the lower the price. And he has it blasted, too (by Blast-Tech in Englewood).

hey tinker...i want mine done the same way as weasels too. i think steve is sending mine to my place, and ill gettem down to you. thanks, sean
