Still in need of a kit, or a different solution for a group 31.

As much as I'd love to wait, sounds like Slee is a while out from having anything available after speaking with them.

Anyone out there? Is there a different solution I may have missed??

I too am in the same situation. Any possible way to easily make a home brew bracket for the group 31?

I want one too. The washers I have under my oem bracket lifts my hood slightly ajar.

Well, I will look into getting something fabricated up locally. All I need is some plans for the dimensions of the tray and bracket...

I spoke with Christo today about this. He is at least 6 months away from having anything and is not completely sure if he will get to this project at all.

So, if the tray dimensions could be determined, I will have a local guy fab this up.

I actually ordered this for the tray:

I'll modify it to work and report back.

For $25 thats a steal! It won't be hard to put metal straps on it. Ditch the OEM strap if you can get the bottom secured properly.

Yep, I just need to figure out the clamp and make a bus bar.

OK, so here it is from the horses mouth or ass, depending on your outlook. We got the drawings, thanks a lot Shaggy. Although the drawings/design were excellent, they were just done so that it is easy to produce (read: less $'s) so we have to use those as a starting block. I don't want to make promises I can't keep, so no time frame at this moment, but it is near the top on the white board.

I was able to modify the bracket to fit the 31 series. This will work until I have a more permanent solution from Slee..

anyone ever use a duracell AGM deep cycle marine battery? I grabbed one yesterday in Sams Club for $166 to use with my bracket I bought last year because my stock battery is finally dying on me.

Nope, but it's an interesting note on their website that they only sell this battery in: ONLY AVAILABLE IN AL, CT, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MS, NC, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, VA, AND WV. All of our Sam's clubs sell Energizer batteries. Have as long as I can remember. Are all of your local store's other batteries Duracell? Must be a supply thing.

I stand behind the Energizer as an everyday battery, I've used them in all of my vehicles (sans cruiser) for the last 10 years and they live up to their marketing.

I'd be happy to torture test your design Slee: ;) to get a good benchmark against Shaggy's which I've been very impressed with thus far.

And I can help with the prototype vehicle. You know, to make sure it clears the LX hood as well as the LC ;)

Alright, I got stuck with a dead battery this morning, couldn't make the 31 fit in the parking lot because I had no tools, proper connectors or time because I was late for a meeting, so I threw in a new stock size battery. I was hoping my stock battery would have lasted until the weekend when I could have tackled the project properly, but the stock battery had different plans. So I have have one of of these size 31 kits available if someone wants it. Just PM me.
