Group 29HM battery?

Yesterday i bought this battery at Sears:

You can see that it's advertised as a Group 31M battery, but the identification on the battery itself says 29HM.

The kid at the counter said it should fit where a 31M fits and that the only difference is that the terminals are in a slightly different place - not centered exactly but set back a bit.

I don't have my 2nd battery box in yet so I haven't tested fitment. As for length it looks like it would barely squeeze into the starter battery position.

There was a sale on diehard batteries and a coupon code, so i figured $110 for 200 minutes of reserve was a steal.

I just hope it fits.

I think most have but are buying the Platinum version because they are rebadged Odyssey's .. That's a huge battery...it will be a tight fit. I'm running two group 34 Platinum Marine's from Sears

I have a Interstate Marine Cranking 800 CCA 24M-XHD in my PS AUX tray. It's about 11" x 6.75". You could go a maximum of 1" more in length and maybe .25" in width in the Toyota battery tray. After that, it's about modding your own.
