So, a couple months ago I ran into the guys from Grizzly Coolers at SEMA Hunting Coolers, Fishing Cooler, Ice Chest . After chatting with one of their representatives for a while I grabbed one of their 20oz tumblers to see how it compares to the other options out there. As with most of the tumblers currently available it consists of a stainless, double wall, vacuum sealed tumbler with a plastic cover to reduce spilling.

First Impressions
The one I grabbed has a Gray/black coating on the outside. To be honest I am not sure what it's made out of but there is a grainy texture to it. I REALLY like the texture, it felt a bit odd at first but does a very good job of adding additional grip to the cup. And, I also just like the look of the coating, it's an odd balance between shiny and flat. There are also ribs in the wall of the cup (as seen in the above picture). These finger grooves allow (me at least) to orient the sipping side of the lid in a specific fashion reducing the chances of trying to drink out of the side of the cup. I don't know about you guys, but when driving at night (common this time of year) not having to look at my cup of coffee to make sure I am not drinking out of the side is important. The lid fits snugly with no concern of falling off. Also there is a thick rubber pad on the bottom of the mug to reduce slipping (and in my case, absorb the shock when being dropped).

Use
I've been using this cup almost every day for the last two months. That includes rides in 6 vehicles over about 3K miles and 5 states, multiple nights filled with Ice Water at my bedside, sitting on the hood, fender, and bed of a couple trucks while performing pump testing on Irrigation wells in Ely, Nevada (and falling off once), time spent in a duck hunting blind and deer hunting, and plethora of other places. It's been rinsed out, washed, and ran through a dishwasher multiple times and taken a header (while full of coffee) off of a utility bed into a gravel driveway. It keeps my coffee warm from about 7:00 to roughly noon in 32* weather, and will retain ice in water over night easily. It does not transfer tastes from Coffee to Water to Cocktails. It's my favorite cup to use. The coating has held up admirably and although it has a couple minor scratches due to be being stupid, still looks great.

My next purchase is going to be one of their Pounder Coozies. They had just finished the design at SEMA and are cool. Perfect for any 16 oz PBR's or Monster Energy drinks!

Sounds good Mace. How much does it sell for ?

I like my 20 oz Yeti...but I've also purchased a knock off brand at Walmart ($7.95ish) & I can tell absolutely zero difference between the two...the lids are even interchangeable.

Edit: additional info.

Sounds nice but I am really digging the Ozark trails tumbler I picked up for under $8 at Walmart. I use it everyday and it sounds like it performs on par with your description.
I have to say it isn't as sexy looking. On the other hand I won't feel as bad when I leave it sitting on a fender and drive away as I would if it cost $20.

I certainly can't argue with the cost factor. Just giving other options that are new and available :)

I "think" it's powder coated.

Good review on the mug. How is the tippiness of the thing? I have the Yeti 20 ouncer but don't like the smaller bottom. It tips over a bit too easy when bumped. They fixed that with the 10 ounce mug, but it's only 10 ounces! I wish they made a 16 or 20 ouncer that doesn't narrow at the bottom. I know they make them narrower so they'll fit in the plethora of drink holders in rigs, but it's annoying when it's 5 in the morning and you just poured your first cup and then someone bumps the table and it falls over. I have to say I'm on the constant search for the perfect coffee and cocktail mug and so are all my hunting buddies. I may have to give the Grizz a try.

It's about the same as the Yeti as far as tippiness goes. Both have bases limited by the normal cupholder found in cars. I have knocked it over once, but the lid stopped the fall from being a big mess..

Grizzly had a special going on their pounder coozies :)

I did find out that they won't fit the German Tall boys unfortunately.. They are just a hair taller (and over 16 oz)..

they fit 16oz not 24 oz ;)
