I typically leave idler pulleys alone (outside of those for a timing belt which are hard to access). It's pretty easy to judge the condition of the idler by spinning it and listening to bearing noise. I've only had 1 serpentine idler go out on any of my vehicles (most of which have gone to 200K+). But, certainly no harm in replacing if they are cheap enough.

If you do that, might as well get the big 'ol TRD stickers for the hind quarters too!
LOL I was trying to find those. Is that dumb? I like them but I dunno, just seems... odd.

When we repainted my wife's 2007 Taco, it was either purchasing new TRD stickers from the dealer at $80.00+ PER STICKER, not a pair.
Or go here: Amazon.com : toyota trd stickers - https://www.amazon.com/s?k=toyota+trd+stickers&crid=3PU6LTASFH9I1&sprefix=toyota+trd+stickers%2Caps%2C134&ref=nb_sb_noss_1
We did the Amazon thing and they look great! Also more options/styles of TRD stickers. She wanted the TRD with the mountains.

It's not dumb. My wife's Highlander will get getting one too :)

Since it's a truck and used a lot for surfing, paddle boarding, beach, snow, ski, etc. we didn't want a $10,000+ paint job.
We used Maaco: Maaco - https://www.maaco.com/locations/
Went with their top of the line paint, keeping the same factory color AND they had to do some serious rust repair along the passenger top windshield where it was leaking into the cab. Can't quite recall the cost, but somewhere between $3 - $5k. It was their best premium with the best warranty.

Warning:
  1. Often there is over spray on suspension, spare tire (if it's hung underneath) and probably other undercarriage parts.
  2. We had to have the hood repainted because there was so much particulate on it (dust or something). But they were good about it, no questions asked, just did it.
  3. The paint did have a little orange peel, which the guy tried telling us that all new cars, even Mercedes will have a little orange peel. I KNOW a new Mercedes will NOT have orange peel, but I wasn't in the mood argue.
But several years later, it still looks great and the price was acceptable.

Ok folks, tomorrow is the day I get my GX tuned. Wish I could of done a dyno before and after.

Well nuts, the software had a glitch so no tune today. I'll update the thread when it happens. In the meantime I'm desperately hoping I can find someone to cut my running boards and rear bumper soon..

*edit*
Oh and I'm going to find a decent performance shop in 2023 to address the s***ty exhaust manifold / header issue. There's too much unrealized performance left on the table with such restrictive exhaust.

Ok his software issue is fixed so I'm about to drive out there and get it done.

Ok tune done. Now I gotta get the adaptives to relearn. The first thing I notice is it solves the throttle lag so no more pedal commander is needed. The transmission shifts absolutely butter smooth. Proper luxury smooth.

My exhaust turned s***ty too. When we were just in Calico a couple weeks ago, I was in a tight spot as seen in the pic's. I roll back into a rock and AGAIN pushed my tail pipe into a rock and partially squeezed my exhaust pipe, the part the hooks over the rear axle before the resonator. So now the exhaust is partially restricted. Not as bad as a few years ago, but I still need to a) replace the resonator section AGAIN... b) or go to a muffler shop and see if the can just put a down pipe from the muffler and eliminate the resonator all together, which is what I'm thinking of doing since this has happened twice now.

My biggest concern is drone, I HATE drone. H A T E it. I'm going to have to sound deaden behind every panel, the floor and the roof. Once all that is done if that eliminates the drone I may do a header back exhaust kit focusing on air flow out but also tuck it up in such a way that it'll hopefully not be in the way while wheeling.

I agree, that's why we bought our GX's, for a quiet ride. If I remember right when I buckled my last resonator, and was without it for a few days, I didn't notice any unusual humming or droning that's why I thinking of just deleting it.

5th gen T4R exhausts should fit a GX460 (maybe with some minor modifications). One of the Magnaflow overland kits includes a helmholtz resonator to keep the drone down, and they are high-tuck. The resonator is probably tuned for the V6, but could be changed in volume to eliminate drone on a V8.

FYI - I'm going to try my luck with a Borla Touring 5th gen T4R catback on my 470. It's only a couple hangers different from fitting (easy fix with a welder) and is supposed to be a pretty quiet exhaust.

Oops. This was supposed to go on a different thread...

Ok so I finally got around to ordering the two rear door handles in solid black from partsouq in Dubai. And holy hell the shipping was quick. Got it in 5 days. I'll get the front handles soon. I'll be happy when the ugly chrome goes away.

Ok I've ordered the rear door handle end caps so I'll finally be able to replace my rear door handles with black OEM ones. One is broken so it was gonna happen. Need Mother Nature to give me a sunny no wind weekend. Don't care if it's "cold".

These are nice and clean.
