Heard of anyone using these ?
I would assume some racers would, but i would be interested to know if it would equal a V8 upgrade, along with better mileage....
Given that the bus wires from it essentially go between the distributor and the spark plugs and have to be spliced and soldered, I see a huge potential for excessive RF noise, which can cause all sorts of other problems. Years ago I tried the DirectHits system on my truck and while it seemed to actually work fairly well, it kept causing my cruise control to kick off whenever it had to apply throttle. I then went to my Mallory 6AL and it's run well ever since with no cruise control issues.
I'd love to see someone guinea pig this system in their 60 or 62, but at over $500 for the 6cyl box, it ain't gonna be me
Another thing I don't like is all the pictures of the cables also show no insulating boots on the connections.
