Let me clarify more, before pain pills kick in more. I just wanted to know if you got military wheels 16.5 in or you went a different route since I don't recognize those tires.

Edit, of the wheel not the tire since it's been established the tires are 37. They look good btw.

LOL, ok so my phone doesn't really show all the pics and attachments and emoticons. I re looked at this post on my computer, you guys are freaking brutal :skull: . Won't ever keep my guard down again :moon:.

Here are the 2 new sets of 36" full extension slides. 250# rating. Should make getting into the cargo box a little easier. Still have a set of 28 and 32s from Marley. I may use these on the trailer kitchen.. not sure yet.

I may need to build a carry around stool to get up to the boxes.. The 37s are going to make the rear even taller and the tailgate already hits me above my belly (I'm 6'-3") Oh well...

How are the panels coming along?

J,

I have been trying to keep up with your thread while finishing my last semester of school and getting a new job. Unfortunately it was put on the back burner. Needless to say it was fun catching up on your thread. The rate at which you collect and build amazing!!! I love it!

Those 37s are going to be great! Also I can hardly wait to see the interior that you are dreaming up! Keep up the good work.

Side note: I would like to know, where you ordered your window trim parts, and any other honey holes that you hunt for cruiser parts :) feel free to pm me.

J, we are all busy busy brother. You get a design gig in SLC?? I collect a lot faster than I build anymore it seems like. Interior will be painted red, black and flat satin silver on the tubing and sheet. I have a red carpet kit that I plan on cutting apart and using as a template for my black marine carpet. Door and cargo panels are looking like red and black for now. Black headliner and seat covers as well.

I made enough room in the shop for Goss today.. Hopefully by the end of next week, I'M FREE AGAIN!

Haven't decided if I'm going to paint all the armor and trim satin black again or just "BARCELONA RED" this rig completely out on the exterior.

Have several items due in next week as well.. Yota order, vinyl, 1.5" solid spindle materials (going to start making these for the fab DIY guys), few tools, welding consumables, front sway repair materials, and looking to order a new JD Squared Model 32 bender with dies... (gotta see where my rathole $$$ balance is first...:grinpimp:) And a few goodies from CruiserYard AGAIN... HA! (transmission hump cover, marker lights, rear hatch shocks and 80 series grab handles to put on the A-pillars..)

Have a pending order with Georg on some custom shifter knobs for the ranger, 5 spd and twin sticks, caster shims and a couple other items..

I'll PM you on my parts suppliers. Good to hear from you J.

Hah! I'm planing on going with 33's but now you have me at least thinking of taking a look at 35's. Panels are all cut...decided to waterproof the quarters and the rings a spacers. Will get the fabric on the rear ones this week....trying to fab the inserts now...hoping it doesn't look like @$$ when done. Panel.webp panel#2.webp panel#3.webp

Kevin, the marine vinyl you bought stretches nicely. Lay it on the driveway in the open sun the entire time you are working on the panels. You will be surprised how good it stretches/covers the panels and inserts.

I've said it before... take your time and give the material some time in the sun. When you grab the "hot" vinyl and pull it, it should stretch about 3/8"-1/2" when "hot". Start in one spot and work your way around the panel.. Don't jump around because you see a wrinkle or fold in the material. Just keep pulling it and stapling it as you go around the board.....

Sun, hot?!?!?!? I live in Seattle and do not know of these words you speak. Two days last week were perfect 80's and sunny. Rained all weekend in the 50's. Effin monsoon came through last night...was on the lookout for Noah to go floating by at around 3am. :)

Thanks, i will do that hopefully we'll get some sun/warmer weather. I know you glue the padding directly to the mdf/hardboard...do you glue the vinyl or just stretch it with it face down and just staple it? I think the quarter's will be relatively easy since I'm only using the single fabric.

Yeah like J said it will get hot enough... I actually do this with mounting mtb tires. Kinda like when you were a kid and had just gotten done swimming for the first time in the year, still cold outside even though the sun is shining and you would find yourself a nice piece of concrete to warm on. I did it with mine and I was amazed that the marine vinyl I was using actually stretched a good inch or two.

J - where is a good place to get tiger paws? It is bike to work month so BeBe will be down for normal driving for everything except emergencies, dog park runs, and so on. So I figured it is a better time than ever to work on the panels.
