Just got ahold of a really nice untampered original 22RE bottom end. It came out of a wreck with suposedly low miles. I'm a little paranoyed from recent rod bearing failures and I want to plastguage it and freshen it up with the proper OEM rods and main bearings if need be. Is there a good source for the OEM Toyota bearings at a good price? Three bears to the guy who has a hook up for me!

Gawd, give us a difficult question. CruiserDan, CruiserDan, CruiserDan (get the message), aka the Parts Shaman. Parts manager at American Toyota. Gives a 25% discount on the real Toyota list price. Free shipping over $100, IIRC. Land Cruiser guru. Nice guy. Wheels a nice FZJ80.

Getting To CruiserDan

Don't pass GO. Don't collect $200. Just call or PM him. But, keep in mind that most of the folks at MUD already do, so he's gonna be busy.

Now, where is my beer?

Come up to Montana to wheel sometime and I'll buy you some beers!!

Thanks for the advice I am now in contact with cruiserdan and he is schooling me!! The engine needs rods and mains and maybe I'll freshen up the rings while I'm in there too. We'll see how it goes. Dans prices beat the crpy chinese stuff from the local auto parts store!

The nice thing about Dan is he knows what you will need, but he won't sell you more than you need. With his discount he usually beats everybody.
