I am going to drive a built LX tomorrow and will compare it to my LC. I plan to make a write up about my thoughts afterwards as this question has been gnawing at me for a long time.

Mileage is irrelevant as long as it's been maintained. Unless you can swing a '13. Also, with the '10 you're getting:

"Added a few enhancements for 2010 model year including the addition of privacy glass on the rear hatch and Safety Connect™ telematics system. The audio system added integrated satellite radio with a 90-day trial subscription to XM Satellite Radio, Bluetooth® and an auxiliary audio jack/USB port. New options included rain-sensing windshield wipers added to the Upgrade Package and a navigation system with XM NavTraffic."
Dealer serviced several times each year since new. Brand new tires, recent fluids flushes, etc. The prev owner seems to have done a good job with maintenance.

What question are you referring to

LC vs LX. Sorry I read it wrong. You are looking at an LC.

Dealer called with their post inspection results. Only needs new F and R brake pads and an oil change. That's it.

I think I agree with that for the most part, but mainly for major items like engine, drive train, etc.

I think of other factors though...like having butts in seats for an extra 65,000 miles, and all the doodads, motors, starting, stopping, heated hoses, air conditioner compressors, and a zillion other non-power-train stuff that sits through what would be (for me) another 5 years worth of miles. I agree that the engine, etc. is probably fine. But other wear starts to add up on other non-central mechanics. If I could hand someone $6-7k to magically roll 65k miles off of my 200 every so often...I would.

I dunno... What do you think?

One thing is for sure this prev owner didn't have kids or anything back there often. Looks perfect and I saw it before it even headed back to the detail/inspection area.

Did you buy it yet?
No. Finalizing decision today/tonight. I am having a hard time convincing myself that spending $30k on a truck with 133k mi is smart. Ha. I'm getting there it is just much different than my usual play. I buy cars new or barely used and drive them 10+ years. My 4runner (just turned 13) has been a dream to maintain and now I'm spoiled. This next truck needs to last me 8-10 until driverless stuff gets mainstream.

Can we at least see a picture?

You are teasing me more than the girls in the window in Amsterdam

It won't get listed until tomorrow morning. It's the grey/grey combo I love.
Do you think it is priced right @ryanCA ?

I was the same position as you 2 years ago. I couldn't get myself to spend $30k on a LC with 115k miles. Let me tell you it was the best decision I ever made. My only regret was not doing it sooner. Had I known how awesome the LC is I would have found a way to get more cash and buy it years sooner.

BTW, upgrade the brake pads with TRD pads if you are changing them out.

Sales guy fwd'd me this pic

Heh... Was thinking same about color.

Also looks great with any/all of the standard satin-black armor.

Amazing platform for mods that are finally readily available.
You're in for as much fun in mods as you care to make. :)

Mine went from a super pedestrian this:

Did you buy new, used, details ?

I will probably never be able to afford a new one. :)
But frankly, I think buying 200's used is a no-brainer. Save soooo much $ and they are barely broken in.

Bought my 2008 with 48k miles on it and literally perfect.
I'm about to hit 100k in the next week or so...

@thammer62 my google-fu has led me to this truck in TX. Its both the same color and mileage range as the one you found. It is a 2008 and not a 2010 as you indicated in your post. However, its a little less expensive than your $30k mark. Hope it helps the search.

This isnt mine, nor have I inquired on it. I have no relation with the seller. Always one to help a fellow MUD'er
