Good gear ratio

Hey I'm to find a good gear ratio for 79 Toyota with 20r motor I have a 4 inch lift with stock gearing And I have 33 toyo mts and its a little under powered and I mostly play on muddy trials and some rocks here and there just need a little more torque out of it

I you are going to stick with 33s I would recommend 4.88s, 5.29s will be great offroad but you will be revving pretty high on the highway.

I vote 4.88 if you drive much on pavement. If this is a trailered rig then 5.29 would be fine. That said I run 4.56 with my 33's and would not consider 4.88, largely because I've been there before. Plus, I have a healthy 22RE, not a 20R.
