Your bumpstop drop requirements are driven by shock length and/or tire size. I built custom bumpstop drops of 2.5” all the way around and my 37’s rub no where but everyone’s situation differs because of wheel size/backspacing/offset and variations in actual tire size of the 37” flavor.Paging @baldilocks
I'm ordering the 3.5" tapered Dobi's with their 6-7" shocks and was sourcing bump stop extensions. Heard someone else mention what you said above about the front spring occasionally binding on the stop. Did you thin yours out a bit to prevent this? I was recommended 3" extensions in the rear. Is there a 3" block on the market? I keep seeing 1" and 2" only.
Also, is everyone running standard driveshafts? Brake line extensions front and rear?
I see you went with the coil packer, I did a 1" 4Crawler body lift instead and hope to get the same result and fit 37s.
I ground off the area of the inner spring bumpstop that flares out and also extended the bumpstop inside the spring the same 2.5”. If you don’t extend the bumpstop inside the front spring, it probably won’t come into contact with spring when the axle droops farther taking advantage of the longer spring and shock.
The 1” coil packer I run in the front is just there to level the truck a bit and match the height of the Slee 4” heavy coils In the rear that actually lift my rear 5.5” unless my rig is loaded heavy. You can easily run 37’s on those springs alone.
