Going from a 2022 Navigator loaded out (tech and comfort factory options) to a little older 2019 LX570?

So help me understand the point of the DCM delete. You have a cellphone, right? Smart watch? Modern camera? Laptop? Ipad? Or did you get rid of those too?

*sorry i wasnt planning on going down a rabbit hole or argument with anyone* I just want a vehicle that can have transmitted data shut down 100% and still function. this LX570 appears to have that ability and still offer enough tech for now and it doesnt rely on electronic steering or anything that a remote transmitter could use to disable it.
Law enforcement can remotely disable a vehicle using a remote ignition block, stolen vehicle slowdown technology, or a general kill switch system. These systems, often integrated into telematics services like OnStar, allow authorities to gradually slow down or prevent the engine from starting to recover stolen vehicles.
future proofing myself for when AI takes over and can disable your vehicle for not paying your taxes or making a post on social media that our dear leaders find inappropriate. Also, currently the latest electronics all get transmitted (4g & 5g currently since 3g has gone down mostly) and stored and your driving patterns, stops, places you shop at or get food at, etc. all gets transmitted and stored then sold. the government has access to all of this data and so do corporations to help sell you stuff or the insurance company to slowly raise your rates if you constantly speed or drive reckless.

yes i have a phone and thats super easy to put on airplane mode then throw in a 0 reception faraday bag.

Agreed. Most 200s have deprecated 3g modems anyway so it’s almost moot. ‘19-21 trucks came with 4g.
with the DCM in tact they can still receive a signal...
For the 2016–2021 Lexus LX 570, the Data Communication Module (DCM) does have the capability to receive signals for specific remote functions, but its ability to "shut down" or "disable" the vehicle depends on how you define that action:
Remote Immobilizer (Stolen Vehicle Recovery)
Lexus offers a Remote Immobilizer feature through its Safety Connect service.

Function: If your vehicle is stolen and a police report is filed, the Safety Connect Response Center can send a signal to the DCM to prevent the engine from being restarted once it has been turned off.
Limitation: For safety reasons, this system typically cannot shut off the engine while the vehicle is actively being driven. It acts as a "restart block" rather than an active "kill switch" that stops a moving car.

Remote Start/Stop
The DCM also handles signals for the Lexus Enform Remote app.

Function: You can remotely start or stop the engine via your smartphone or smartwatch.
Automatic Shut-off: If the vehicle is remote-started, it will automatically shut off after 10 minutes if no one enters the vehicle.

Disabling the DCM
If you are concerned about remote access or data transmission, the DCM can be physically deactivated, though it impacts other features:
Removal: Pulling the DCM fuse is a common method to stop cellular communication, but this usually disables the Bluetooth microphone and front speakers/tweeters in many Lexus/Toyota models.

Are you planning on robbing a bank or not paying your taxes? Either scenario, the “Man” has more than one way to track you and disable ANYTHING that you’re in. Being in an old LX with your phone in airplane mode will not prevent anything. Every cash exchange (of course credit card use) at any store is being recorded. Every corner/house/block on the planet has cameras. If FBI/NSA can track high-end terrorists and every movement they make, they can track you.

Who cares? If this is his criteria why challenge it? Accept it, move on, no "social correction" or bullying into conformity required.

i know all of this, no reason to go into any of it here, youre not teaching me any kind of lesson. I just dont want my vehicle to be transmitting or receiving anything, its a simple concept.

Ya im not real sure why he feels he needs to somehow "tech" preach to me? he's not telling me anything i dont already know and i have no plans on describing why i dont want my vehicle tied to a cellular safety monitoring device.
