Looking way forward to the FJ60 version. Mine is beat. Hopefully fits FJ62 also?
Nice product.
And BTW, inbound order for shifter balls.

Doesn't the 62 have the rear heater under the console (vs. under the passenger seat in a 60)? You might have to ditch that.

Yes-the brackets would need to be different. Good call.

Yes! Everything is a go - We can begin taking orders and shipping on Monday! I'am updating the website to accept orders, I should be done today, I'll post up the link here when I've got it added. -Mark

Any news? I'm waiting to do my arb switches in this!

For all you FJ60 owners... it fits great into the FJ60. I pushed the console as forwards as I could - the rear cup holder is flush with the rear seats, so I believe you can fold down the back seat without any issue. The shift lever is in reverse, and you have plenty of room to shift thru all the gears.

To level the console, I used a universal bracket my manufacturer sent me, and a 1.5 x 1.5 square tubing.

I can ship these now, with the Universal bracket, you can modify that bracket, and grab a piece of square tubing and your set. It will be a few weeks before we have FJ60 brackets. If you have an FJ60 and are interested, please post up so I know how many brackets to make.

I am definitely interested when you get the 60 brackets going.

Oh holy sweet baby jesus how did I miss this? That console is epic - great work! I've got bigger fish to fry on my 40 before I commit to buying one of these, but I will be back. I swear between you, fjgoober, and racer 65 we will be able to build a cruiser from scratch before too long.

One issue with the 7x series is that the rear heater is in the center console. So you would need to either retain it and build the console on top of it somehow, or you would need to do a delete of the rear heating system to get the console to fit. Then the issue of the parking brake lever has to be addressed since the space is very tight between the seats-- So I see something a bit skinnier than the current iteration for the 40/60.

Here is how mine is currently as I am cleaning the interior out.

Currently, my mounting bracket for the FJ40 is 6.25 inches wide. and the console extends over the mounting plate.

What if we made a bracket - basically a flat plate with a square hole for wires?
what is the distance between your seats?

Some of the 70's do not have the rear heater ... My former 73 did not have a rear heater ...

My '74 does and I was amazed at how little console storage there is with the heater in there ...

PS ... IH8autocorrect ;)
