Can you believe that NOBODY sells coal in Pickens. Go figure.
I found a source in Greenville. Go figure.
The stain glass is neat. It is Table Rock which as you know is my view. :grinpimp:
I'm trying to stay primative so no insulation. Dis here place is for hardy souls.
Pioneer stock stuff. ;)

How about using some old quilts. Or stuffing flour sacks with goose feathers or hay?

Now that's ol time thinking there pardner.
It was 20 something degrees the other day when I fired up a good fire in the belly
of the beast and it warmed the place fine. :hillbilly: Even without coal. ;)
I intend to get me a sack-o-coal this week when I visit Gvegas.

You meen Gvegas as in Gainesvegas or Greenvegas? Coal is tough to find nowdays.
The closest I can find it is Coloumbus, Ga. Good to know you can get it in Greenvegas.
So the stove heated the cabin pretty well? I might have to get on of those. Dont know what Ill do with it, but still might ought to get one.

Got my bag-o-coal today. The look on their faces, as the guy in the Benz wearing a suit,
ordered a 40 pound bag of coal was priceless. :)
$9 for 40 pounds.
I'm set for some winter fun now.
I was thinking about a poker game.

Did someone say poker? :grinpimp:

I'm in. Will there be any salon girls there? I'm hoping you say yes.:D

Well it just seemed natural for
a poker night. Booze, cigars and fireplace roaring on one side and
the potbelly stoked with coal.
Dancing girls only if I can talk
The Ol Lady into going to
Litchfield for that weekend. ;)
I can just smell a pot of Steve's
coffee perking. Say sling some
roadkill on the grill and Yee Haaa.
Maybe after Jan.'s Tellico.
Maybe late that month or Feb
something. Thoughts on a date?
Or maybe this spring...
Heck I'm open to suggestions.

After New Years works best for me - unless I can hunt Bambi in your front yard. :grinpimp:

Have been in many, many old cabins in the mountains and can say that they did insulate best they could. Corn Husks and dry straw stuffed into cracks and mudded on the outside was very common in the log cabins we tore down and between the support beams where ever they had a dead space. But many did not have the dead spaces and were poorly insulated. Love to look and sometime am going to make it up for cigars, cards, and Scotch. Thinking of you and wishing yor the best at this time of year. Merry whatever!!!

Hey Doc, I thought of you recently. I drooled over your camera shamelessly
at the Low Country shin dig this summer. Those latest pic were taken with my Nikon
D90. I love this camera! ;)
Best to you and yours and there is always a bunk for my ol cronies at Point-o-View.
Just bring some of that FINE scotch wiff ya. I think we can find some fine sipping
vessels such as we used at the beach hereabouts. :hillbilly:

That is just plain 'ol cool as sh*t... I need one of them.

Looking good David, All you need is a bluegrass band sittin' on the porch, and you'd be set! Hope to see it in person someday soon!

Plan on it ,heck may even spring for styrofoam. :D I would love the 90 as well but the 80's got more bells and whistles than I need. However the movie mod would be nice, oh so nice. :whoops:
