Like the title says, I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a new LC. My wife and I were using my 2011 Tundra for camping and exploring, which was doing a fine job, but I was getting tired of the ride and the seats. This is what led me toward the LC. After a couple test drives, I was sold on the comfort aspect of the LC, not to mention the reliability compared to the other vehicles I was checking out.

Locally, the best quote I have been able to get is for $75K +TTL for a new 2017 with a msrp of just under $87k.
Does this sound like a decent deal?

One dealer around here has a 2016 demo in stock, but the manager got very nervous looking when I said I wanted to have it inspected, so I immediately discounted that. Normally I try an buy CPO or lightly used vehicles, but I am wondering with a vehicle of this price, if paying more to know how it was driven for it's entire life would be worth the extra cost. Not to mention that most of the CPO's around here are only like 4-5k less than new.

Thanks ahead of time for any opinions guys. I look forward to joining the LC family:beer:

If you are seriously interested in a better ride quality and seats, look at the Lexus LX570. If you don't plan on modifying the suspension, you might prefer the creature comforts of this vehicle better. Under the badge they are mostly identical vehicles.

I actually went and test drove the LX a couple times as well. My wife and I both found the suspension to have a bit to much wallowing for our taste. While the LX seats were definitely softer, that did not translate into comfort for me for some reason, as I found the LC seats easier on my bad back.

That's probably a decent deal, providing it's a 0 miles (or almost 0 miles) vehicle. If you intend to keep it a long time, it may be worth it to you to have a new one and know for sure the history. I'll guess that you'll like the LC a lot compared to the Tundra for the ride and seats. I sold a Tundra and got into an LC for the same reason. I paid $77k plus TTL for a '17 about a year ago, so your $75 is ok.

@Bo Hopkins if you read through 2018 pricing??? several members posted their purchase prices for a 2017 LC, I believe there are a couple 2016 prices posted also. Selling price seems to be around mid to high $70k's for dealer new

@Sandroad @marketShark Thanks for the reply guys, sounds like it's not too bad of a deal.

Going to go to the dealer tomorrow to see if I seal the deal. Then on to the first order of business...taking off those crap oem tires.

@GBman Most of the dealers out my way are wanting around 78-79K for 2018's. Do you got any leads on a good dealership?

@ryanCA What would you say is a fair price on a new 17?

Thanks for these replies guys, it's definitely helping.

What color combo you seeking? My dealer has a black on terra 18 in stock and I am pretty sure he could get it to 75 no problem. I am paying 32800 and trading in a 18 4 runner trd pro for my 18 LC on order. Only issue is I am in western ny lol I am sure someone will chime in on a local option. There is a lot of markup in these and dealers are happy to discount.

I'm not too picky on the color. Interior wise, I like terra a lot, but black would be fine if the deal was right. Dealing with some of these dealers around here is like pulling teeth.

Well I would certainly hook you up with my dealer but I assume shipping across the country would be stupid expensive. Hold tight. Considering you are flexible on colors you will be fine. I would recommend an autotrader search within 500 or so miles and start emailing dealers. 75k is for sure doable!

To throw a wrench into the works, I just found a nice used 2016 with 30k miles for the upper 50's, with full toyota maintenance records. I'm wondering if it checks out in an inspection, it might be nice to just get a 8yr/125k toyota warranty and pocket the difference for mods, etc.

If planning to mod I would absolutely consider that low mileage 2016. Good luck!

I'm also in San Jose and waited month-after-month for the 2016 I ordered new in November of 2016 at Steven's Creek. I ended up finding one in North Carolina and had it shipped here for 77k shipped. It's obviously a couple years old now but figured I'd give you another data point.

FYI, I just shipped an LC from Boston, MA to SF, CA for $1650

I had a particular color combo needs (white in terra), CPO low miles (18k) otherwise there were a ton of black LCs on the market when I looked.

So, I'm reading this but want some opinions as well...I have a 2016 CPO LC on hold. It has 17,500 miles and they are asking $65k flat. Is this fair? I've done some research and in my area (Iowa), this seems like a fair deal???

Given my purchase, I’d say yes.

I agree 100% with you. I have owned now 5 different 200s, only one was an LX and I hated the suspension on the LX, it was always too soft or too harsh, too much wallowing, I found myself constantly jacking with the comfort settings on the suspension. I only had that LX maybe a year before going back to an LC. Not to mention that wild spendal grill design on the later LXs really doesn't work for me.

I bought my 2018 LC today for 77k OTD (NO TAX) MSRP was $86825.00.
It was right at 10k off plus the 199 doc fee.
I shopped off and on for 2 months and ended up driving 8 hours round trip today to get it done.
I have no doubt I could have got a 17 with the rear screens for less. I just hated those screens and did like the minor updates on the 18 features.

I think someone did get an 18 bought the other day for 76,400.00 but I didn't know what their MSRP was.
