Well I'm super excited to get my first Land Cruiser at the start of next year. It's still in transit but should be docked by the end of the month. I'm still waiting on a carvx report but here's what I have so far. I purchased it from prestige motors out in Lutz Florida.

2000 HDJ101 with the 4.2TD and no factory AHC. It does have an unknown lift and what looks like American racing Baja wheels. It does have a Chinese head unit but at least it seems like it's car play enabled.

Nice looking LC. Diesel is the way to go!. Where was the vehicle originated? And i assumed bought it unseen except from the pictures?
If so you are pretty brave!

It originated in Japan and was bought by prestige motors for their inventory. I just luckily snagged it before it came stateside. Based on the research I did they put work into these when they come over and buy only Rust free and 4/5 rating cars at minimum. I agree, sight unseen is scary but I am having someone else do the work up front. Thankfully, only a small deposit was made and they seem like stand up folk.

Congrats!

Please be very weary and don't get caught up with dealers antics. Many MUD members have been "burned" by so-called reputable businesses. Read up on Bad seller forum here on MUD and ask the right questions prior to taking delivery of your vehicle. Their job is to sell any way they can and walk away if your guts tells you otherwise.
Again congrats and welcome to MUD.

Thanks y'all. I'll definitely check out the bad sellers and ask more questions. I did finally get the JVEIC report and it looks great so far. I even found the previous auction and the pictures.

Wow, that is a massive body lift.

I'd agree with you that lift is huge but I've had a hard time finding the gap in the body to see a body lift. I'm still new to Land Cruiser so I'm still learning. The underneath the torsion bars are silver so I don't think they're originally either do it might be a combination of body and suspension lift.

See how the rear crossmember is showing underneath the bumper? It’s supposed to be hidden behind it.

Yessir I see it now. That's something I'll definitely be taking off. I don't plan to do 37s or anything crazy to even try to justify a body lift.

35's and that thing will rock!

You know I was just thinking that. I am wondering if it's a 2" body lift with this suspension

The torsion bars and rear coils make me think so. 35's and eventually some ARB bumpers would look killer 😏

I’m following this to see how it goes. I’m pretty conservative, I could never do a thing like this, sight unseen. I’m just not that lucky.

I’m on your side, I want to see this work out… but that wild body lift looks pretty sketch to my older eyes.

Y'all keep talking and I'm going to go find the HDJ81 I've always wanted 😂

Well I did decide to do the HDJ81 I wanted afterall. There was one already on the marketplace that was almost identical to this 100 series. 1HD-FT, automatic, vx limited and similar miles. It's already here, been serviced and looks great. Already saw the undershots and it's very clean. I go pick it up in a week or so.

I want to reiterate that there is nothing wrong with that 100 series coming in, but that was more of settling because it had the features I really wanted but not the series I wanted. Andrew and Jimmy from Prestige imports are fantastic to work with and very stand-up gentlemen. You can tell by the auction report they won't buy beaters. When that 100 series lands, I am going to regret it, but I’ll regret it inside an 80 series.
