I'm having a pair of sliders made for rig by a local fabricator because I wanted to 'keep it local' so to speak. I also wasn't interested in paying hefty shipping costs and the name brand premium!

Since i'm already having a set fabricated for myself, I was curious in seeing if anyone else was interested in purchasing a set as well. they'll be fully bolt on, cat protection, rear kick out, and can be raw or powdercoated.

my idea is to help dudes in socal who want some rocker protection at a better price and save on shipping as well.

nothing's in it for me, just wanna help the group out!

another good semi-local option is white knuckle off road, but i was just looking to pay less than that. (it's crazy how 80-series sliders hold about a hundred dollar premium over all the other slider models!)

anyone who's interested, post up so i can get a count! if there is enough interest, i can talk to my fabricator about a group buy rate, and move this thread to the appropriate place.

cheers! :beer::flipoff2:

i wish this was posted up a few months ago. I had mine weld-on fab for $450.

I'm in OC, I was going to build mine along with a skid plate, but it's rough with a needy 10 month baby.
How much is going to be powdercoated?

I got white knuckle off road sliders....very nice and very beefy...and IE close...also about the only one that makes them fit 80's with drop down brackets...a big plus for me...

I'd be interested depending on price.

Same here.

stay tuned guys, you'll be pleased with the price. (+savings on not having to ship)

they're the standard ladder design with kick-outs at the rear and good cat protection. they will be powdercoated for a minimal additional fee, or left raw.

oversteer: yes all DOM. my fabricator doesn't really do car parts. their main business is huge pipes and machinery etc, so this is much smaller than what they're used to --but he's willing to help me out on this.

ps: great stable of vehicles! jealous of your low mile cruiser :)

Thanks...I just need more space to park them all...the :princess: has 2 cars of her own. The King shocks I got talked into for the Cruiser are eating a big chunk of the build budget so I'm really looking forward to the possibility of reasonably priced sliders!
