Fellas weak wrencher here, had my 77 for 26 years. Finally had to replace gas tank. Opted for the poly, after starting her up, my fuel filter under the hood was dripping gas on exhaust! Did I mix up the return line? Thx

Those fuel hoses look old and weak where the clamps are cutting into the rubber. I have no clue about your filter and tank arrangement - but swapping the two hoses is easy enough to test your theory. Ebay has good prices for a 25' spool of new gas hose. Good luck, fuel on exhaust needs fixed instantly.
