Rough numbers would say the average is $119 per month in gas, but nearly 33 years of data is a long time. Especially, when gas prices were below $1.

I’m sure you have the information readily available; how much have you spent in total on your Land Cruiser?

I’m not poor, just inquisitive. I’m an engineer by trade so data is interesting to me. My LC is not only my daily driver, it’s the only four wheeled vehicle I own. I love this thing and find every aspect of it enjoyable, including tracking my mileage.
Do you also plot it on a graph? I track it for a few vehicles using Google Sheets because I became curious and love having hard data for planning trips. I’ll add notes too if I try a different fuel.

No plotting, just the simple numbers in my iPhone. I’ll screenshot it and send it through ChatGPT every once in a while to check on my averages. I don’t track price because I don’t want any evidence for my wife to get on my case about.

The lowest price was 3/16/1998. It was $.969 a gallon. Gas was under one dollar only 10 times. All in the spring-summer of 1998. The first tank was $1.239 a gallon.

It's been parked since the s*** hit the fan in the gulf. The truck needs premium and it's around $5.50 a gallon in these parts. Total fuel capacity is 38 gallons.

Total spent on the truck is Classified. You know, happy wife...

You fueled it 956 times?

Seems like too small of a number over 33 years, but that's ~29/ year, or more than once every two weeks.

I fitted a factory subtank in the spring of 2005. It has always been cycled since then. IE I go through both tanks every fill. So for the last 21 years it's been ~a "tank and a half" every time. The truck was a daily up until the spring of 2010 when I got my first Challenger. It's been a recreational/winter driver since then.

When you add the subtank, it definitely makes more sense.
I always fill/ empty the sub-tank in my normal fuel cycle in my cruisers. Unless I don't want to wait the extra minute or so it takes to pump the extra fuel to fill the sub

And you have a way cooler vehicle anyway. 70>80
