I love it, did the JB actually hold?
I only drove it a few weeks till an aftermarket fuel pump went then after that idling issues and a few other things came up but it was fine those few weeks.
And I have video proof of the hb spinning smooth and strong so I think it'll be good. It's in my thread. Like I asked you, what's the worst that could happen? The hb won't just slip off all of a sudden. It's on a number of inches and the belts put tension on it and hold it in place as well. I know it wasn't the right way but it was the best way I could come up w/. I sought help and got rejected so I finally took it into my own hands.

So I got the case close up and reinstalled in the truck.

I removed the stock vent and drilled out the hole and tapped it so I could install a vent with a hose.

It always bugged me how I hacked together the transmission crossmember, so I finally got around to grinding off the old ones. I will paint the frame in the spring when it is warmer.

I've hit some road blocks for the turbo charging that I have to overcome. I'll have to post in the diesel section

Spent a day fabricating a new wastegate bracket and turbo support. I only took pics of the bracket.

It's stout

I'm working on the new turbo exhaust now. I wanted to do 2.5", but my turbo has a 3" exhaust and i couldn't find an adapter for less than the price difference of 3" tubing. So I am using 3"

Most of the way done the turbo exhaust. I just need to weld 1 more spot, cut the tip to a desirable length and add the hangers.

I started with some 3" tubing, this picture is actually just my left over pieces.

I've got a decent gap between the firewall

Routing it through the leaf made the most sense

And then exit out the side

I might rework it a bit in the future, but for now i am happy with the result

Hope that won't create too much heat on the spring bushing, looks good though,
How come side vent as opposed to running it out the rear?

If the heat is too much I will replace the bushing and rout it another way.
I ran it out the side because I like side exits. The only downside I can find is that it makes the rear tire jet black from diesel soot.

I ordered a gauge pod holder back in january, it didn't show up after 3 months. So I contacted ebay and got a refund and then ordered on from amazon, it showed up but definitely won't work.

I decided to just build some out of scrap aluminum instead of wasting time trying to get it to fit.

Then I spent the morning painting everything I need to for the turbo install

The next few posts should be exciting, The turbo kit is complete and ready to be installed

The weekends been going well, I've got the kit almost completely installed.

My engine bay is pretty gross, I think next winter I will clean it up.

Tomorrow I need to put hangers on the exhaust and then I am going to fire it up

I'm wicked excited
