Order process:
Ordering process was smooth. Tim was very helpful to all my needs

Production Time:
Make sure you plan ahead since Tim can only crank so many out at a time and he is dependent on the powder coated as well. Time from order to delivery approx. 9-10 weeks.

Install:

When removing the factory rack remove the main undying bolts evenly, I avoided the backplate falling out. Also tried to be careful as to not to push the yellow guides back into the roof. The other thing I did was used the gasket sealant #2.

There are minimal instructions (what's on the website is it and what pointers you can find on this forum). Tim is very helpful but don't expect a legit set of instructions.

Took me a good 4 hrs or so with two teenagers (maybe that was my problem)...

No the boys were great, they definitely had smaller fingers to help on the tight spaces to work in.

Steps that might help are:
The pouches of screws are labeled but take some time and lay them out with washers and bolts. Then get them paired up with the towers and mounting points

Front towers: bolted the plates together using the top set of holes.

Mid towers: bolted the plates together using the top set of holes

Rear towers: bolted the plates together using the bottom set of holes

Don't insert the middle height bolt till you get the height adjusted

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but is the rack upside down? I would have expected the basket railing to face upwards.

The rack bolts down to the top of those legs. It can be turned either way so the railing could be up or down based on owner preference.

I liked the expo bars down to use as a grab bar and so the top can be used to load lumber or snow/kayaks, also designed the drop basket to be configured with expo bars down.

I just had the pleasure of hanging out with and wheeling with @nakman in Ouray. Not only does he make a great roof rack, but he is an awesome supporter of the Land Cruiser community and a super nice guy to boot!!

I'm going to pick up my '08 in New Orleans this weekend and will be calling him up when I decide on a rack configuration. One of the trucks that was in Breck has a Gamiviti rack and there are some great photos of it in the other thread.

I have that same rack on my 2017. I also mounted the bars down and totally agree that they make great grab bars for loading and unloading. I installed it by myself without any problems. I’ve had it fully loaded on many trips. It’s a great rack.

I have the front fairing and don’t get much noise. The only time is when I am at highway speeds in a storm and getting a strong crosswind. But then again everything is a little louder at that point.

Mine is quiet. I have the rack as low as it can be and also added some molding under the wind fairing. I have the rack with the expo bars down. If they were the other way it would cause noise
